Grouse Ridge - Overnight Camping Trip
This is a two-day paintball/camping event must! For beginners and
experts alike, this trip has something for everyone. Many people come just for the camping
and fresh mountain air experience. Be sure to bring warm clothing for the cool evenings and
toilet paper, as there are no facilities. Snacks and refreshments are available for a small
fee, however, you should bring your own meals.
As with all great events, Grouse Ridge has its traditions.
One of the favorites is a night game called Match Maker, played the first
evening before game day. Glow in the dark paint
(tracerball) is used during play!
The next morning the main event begins, with new games starting all day long. Each game
last about half an hour, so you'll be sure to get in a lot of game play.
All types of games are played including Capture the Flag and President's Men.
This is a FREE event and open to the public. Paintballers of all ages are welcome! Typically, over
100 people show up to participate in the festivities. Check out the action from
2000 and 2001.
Grouse Ridge is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains 80 miles east of Sacramento, off State Highway 20,
Emigrant Gap. It's a 45 minute drive from the Grass Valley / Nevada City area and a 90 minute
drive from Sacramento or Reno. Click
